Delete your Ummia account

Your Ummia account is created by your school, so it is deleted through your school or through Ummia support. Here is how, and what is kept afterwards.

How to ask for deletion

  • Ask your school office to delete your account; the school passes the request to Ummia.
  • Or contact Ummia support by phone or WhatsApp (above), with your name, your phone number and your school's name.
  • We confirm the request with you on the phone number of the account, so nobody else can delete it.
  • Your account is deleted within 30 days, and we tell you when it is done.

A parent can ask for their child's account to be deleted. Deleting a student's account in the app does not remove the student from the school; only the school does that.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in: your phone number and password, so the account cannot sign in again on any phone.
  • Your profile photo and the documents you uploaded from the app.
  • Your push notification tokens and signed-in devices.
  • Your chat messages and files.
  • Check-in locations and driver route points linked to you.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Financial records: bills, payments, receipts, salaries and invoices. The school must keep these by law, so they stay with the school for as long as it is required to keep its accounts, and are then deleted.
  • A student's school record (enrolment, attendance, marks and issued certificates) stays with the school as part of its official records, as on paper.
  • Copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days.
